Cubs Crate Stacking

Our District

Newark Logo

We have 7 groups across the district, 2 district explorer units and a network unit. We currently have over 500 youth members within the district and around 200 adult volunteers supporting our members.

We believe that we could significantly increase our membership with more volunteers who could spare us the time. Volunteering is #goodforyou as not only does it give you that warm fuzzy feeling, but it gets you out and about, is good for your mental wellbeing and lets you help mould young peoples lives.

About our Group

9th Newark is a very close knit group, with a Beaver  Section, a Cub Section  and a Scout Section. The group meets in 2 different locations, with the Beavers meeting at the Tom Mann Centre in Hawtonville, whilst the Cubs and Scouts meet at Christchurch Hall opposite the Hospital

The group will often be found at Sconce Park in the better weather and has a track history of it's members achieving the top scouting awards, the group has grown substantially over the last year and would like to grow more, but is in need of more volunteers to help drive forward the growth.

Their current Group Scout Leader is Mandy Twinn, who is backed up by a dedicated group of leaders, helpers and supporters.
