Teenage Options
Everyone is an individual within scouting, we offer a range of different options to all our young people, they have the choice to participate in as many of the options as they want and that fit in with their life and studies.
We understand that the transition from Scouts to Explorers can be a big step, we therefore encourage all Scouts from across the district to visit both of our Explorer Units from the age of 13.5 until they reach 14 as many times as they want, to experience Explorers, to make new friends and to have fun. Most importantly to make the move into Explorers as smooth as possible and to help them decide which Explorer Unit is the better fit for them.
Explorers have a youth lead program, where our young people decide what they wish to do each term, they then plan and organise and deliver their own program, with the leadership team acting as facilitators.
