Our District
We have 7 groups across the district, 2 district explorer units and a network unit. We currently have over 500 youth members within the district and around 200 adult volunteers supporting our members.

We believe that we could significantly increase our membership with more volunteers who could spare us the time. Volunteering is #goodforyou as not only does it give you that warm fuzzy feeling, but it gets you out and about, is good for your mental wellbeing and lets you help mould young peoples lives.

About our Unit
The District Young Leader group has over 30 young people between 14 and 18 assisting other groups and sections across the district. Most of the Young Leaders are also members to either Raptors ESU or Vikings ESU.

Young Leaders have a dedicated training plan, which when completed gives the young leader a recognised national certificate in leadership skills.
​
Most of the Young Leaders also participate in the Duke of Edinburgh and Scouting Awards, utilising their volunteering as a Young Leader as their volunteering element of the awards.
