About
Newark Scouts is an inclusive youth lead movement, looking to encourage and develop the full potential of the young people in the Newark District. Our program is balanced, covering everything from adventurous activities to investigating faith and culture, developing leadership skills, environmental projects and assisting in the community, but above all celebrating the successes of our members and having FUN!

Our members have taken part in many overseas adventures from Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Denmark to locations further afield such as the USA, Japan, Canada and South Korea. We are shortly looking to launch our newest section Squirrels to offer opportunities to a whole new age range of 4 - 6 year olds, our Beaver Sections is for 6 -8 year olds, our cubs are between 8 and 10.5 before becoming a Scout until age 14. At 14 our teenagers join one of our exciting explorer scout units until 18 and can also become part of the young leader program. Finally our Network section is open for all young adults to age 25.

All of our programs and activities put our members at the heart of the decision making process, they have an input in their programs at a younger age and by the time they reach explorer age, they plan and organise their own program.
